Tet/Vietnamese new year?

I'm vietnamese and in school my homeroom teacher wants me to show pictures of temples and know about tet and stuff.

i aleady took some pictures. (but only om my cell) So anyways i just really need to know about the kitchen god really. Like what does it have to do with Tet why is it important and who is the kitchen god and is it a guy or girl.

Kitchen God is the person who monitors kitchen, he keeps watching what is heppening in one's kitchen and then will fly to the zenith on the 23th, Dec, Chinise calendar to tell the Jade Emperor what he can see or hear. Vietnamese people call him "Ong Tao" that means Mr. Tao in English so he must be a male.

He is called "o^ng Ta'o"  O^ng is mr. so he got to be a man.  Definitely not a girl :))
