First of all, the goldfish weren't supposed to be in my 20 gallon tank, my teacher offered them to me and stupid me said yes. Im trying to get a new home for them.

But, in the mean time, they are all doing fine, have been in this grouping for about 2 months now. And I wanted to add one or 2 more fish.

Dojo Loach, or an upside down catfish.

Which do you think is a more enjoyable fish to have? I read that Dojo Loachs can be paired with goldfish so I wouldn't have to worry about finding them a new home to quickly.

Its a 20 gallon tank, and again, it has 3 black skirt tetras, 2 small goldfish, 2 bettas (male and female, very calm pair) an octlinicous catfish (or somethin like that) and an african dwarf frog.

Dojo Loach or Upsidedown catfish?

  1. Cat Fish, I'm not a fan of the loaches, I think they look like worms and they do hide alot as said before. Mind you, catfish are much better

  2. Try a reticulated loach they dont hide and are prettier than an upside catfish

  3. go with the catfish and get a few more black skirt tetras belive me they will be alot happier with about 6 in there.

  4. I guess you've already decided which you want but you could also add a few more of the black skirt tetras.  They will be happier with a school of 5-6.  I noticed a big change in behavior of my tetras once I upped their school from 3 to 6.   :)

  5. i would choose dojo loach

    its way better

    trust me

    : )

  6. upside-down catfish, dojo loaches can hide a lot.
