Manchester City’s star striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini last season.
The manager and the City boss went on to argue over him coming on as a substitute in a game, and this resulted in Tevez going on a self imposed exile.
Mancini went as far as to saying that Tevez was done, and that he had no future at City any more. However, that has not proven to be the case, as the player came back and helped the Manchester based club go on and win the Premier League title.
"Last year I almost retired," said the Argentine, goal scoring machine.
"I had lost the desire to play, alone in my room, crying. When the bad times come, they all come together. With the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323] I did not want anything more to do with football.”
"Luckily today I'm fine, I regained the desire to play."
The player admitted that one of his most hated things is to be left out of the City squad. However, he also revealed that with Mancini and him settling their differences, things have become a whole lot more relaxed at the club, which is why he has started to improve on his performances for the team.
"My relationship with Mancini is cordial, I'm hot blooded, I do not like to go out or be on the bench," he added.
"Before, when he took me out of the team or did not include me on initial lineup, I insulted him ... now I'm more relaxed."
So far this season Tevez has managed to score ten goals. This tally is not very impressive by the Argentine’s standards, but he has also gone on to pick up numerous assists along with those goals.
"Physically I'm fine. I feel good and fast. Maybe I'm missing goal-hunger, now I think more about accompanying the play or generating a pass-goal."
The player seems to be enjoying his football with City at the moment, and should he continue to do so in the future, he could easily go on and help the team win more trophies.
