Tevez takes back transfer request after 'clear the air’ talks
Carlos Tevez has been the talk of the town since he tabled his transfer request at Manchester City. However the latest press release from the club’s official website cleared the speculations by saying that Carlos Tevez has withdrawn his transfer request,
after clear the air talks with the Premier League club. Tevez’ third party agent Kia Joorabchian fired a few statements against the club Chief Executive Garry Cook and the Brian Marwood, after Tevez was desperate to seek a move away from City. The Iranian
businessman also threatened to leak out the email correspondence between the player and the club in chronological order.
The motive behind Tevez’s actions could be that he missed his family and wanted to quit Eastlands. However Tevez himself declared on another occasion, that his relations with certain club executives were not good and were beyond repair. After the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841
striker officially filed the request on 11 December, Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 wanted to have a word with Tevez to get a clearer picture about why he was unhappy at the club.
Significantly, the club received many requests from Tevez’s representatives to re-negotiate and improve his playing contract. The club officials were earlier disappointed with the level of trust deficit with the players representatives. After a one-all draw
with Juventus at Stadio Olimpico, Mancini left Turin straight away and was up to meet Tevez over the on-going issue on Friday. Mancini also showed his interest in Tevez’ family being based overseas and the sensitivity associated with his personal matters.
Mancini said, “Carlos expressed his greater commitment with the club and officially withdrew the request. His contract will be unchanged and both he and the club are ready to take on opportunities that lie ahead.”
Mancini said that the 26-year-old striker is a world class player, and has contributed greatly to the success of the club since he joined. He added, “I am very glad that we are now focusing on pure football and looking forward to Carlos to continue play
a significant role in the club’s presentation.” Tevez’s current five year contract has more than three years to run, and he is the highest paid player at the Manchester City.
