does anybody know where i can find true information of the chainsaw massacre, not the movie! everywhere i look people say it is fiction but then i found a list of people who have been killed.... HELP!!!

The story was loosely based on serial killer Ed Gein from Wisconsin.

Like the person before me, the movie was loosely based on Ed Gein, just like the films Psycho and Silence of the Lambs.  He is suspected of killing 10 people but only know 2 for sure.  He was also a grave robber and would get a lot of parts from that.  He lived in WI.
