Texas Class M driver license rescriction??

Question

im 16 and it says you are limited to 250cc

so i have to get 250??? its it 250cc at least? or no more than 250cc???

so..???

but im 16, so does it still apply???

TTC 521.224(b): "The department may issue a special restricted Class M license that authorizes the holder to operate only a motorcycle that has not more than a 250 cubic centimeter piston displacement."

The phrase "not more than" means that the motorcycle has 250cc piston displacement or less.  The phrase "not more than" does NOT mean "at least".

Also, look at TTC 521.224(e): "On the 16th birthday of a holder of a special restricted Class M license, the department shall remove the 250 cubic centimeter restriction from the license without completion by the holder of an additional motorcycle operator training course."
