Texas Rangers’ CEO proud of team manager Ron Washington – MLB News
The Texas Rangers principal owner, president and CEO of the club Nolan Ryan has stated that he gives a lot of credit to Ron Washington for helping the team grow. For Ryan, the presence of Ron Washington in the club has been fun, providing a challenge environment
to the players.
“I'm so proud of the job Ron has done,” Ryan said. “I think he's grown with the team. It has been fun to be associated with it and watch it. I give Ron a lot of credit for his passion and for us playing the game the way it should be played. He has been able
to get players to play hard every day, and that's more of a challenge than ever.”
Days after the Texas Rangers decided to extend the contract of their accomplished manager Ron Washington there is a palpable sense of joy in the club. While all the players were visibly excited by the delightful news, the joy of the frontline office staff
is worth noting.
The biggest success of Ron Washington has been his ability to keep the team together and has instilled in them the qualities to remain focused on the game. It is this quality that has won him a tremendous amount of admiration in the team.
But the biggest joy can be attributed to the team CEO who had actually hired Ron Washington. Coming in the club back in 2007, Ron Washington is now third longest-serving manager in the club’s history.
Ever since his arrival in the club, Ron Washington has epitomised excellence. He has been a truly inspirational leader for the Texas Rangers, inspiriting them to excel in the fiercely competitive environment of Major League baseball.
His quality and able leadership has had a huge impact on the team. The club’s having the most adept pitchers and hitters can be attributed to the extraordinary counselling and coaching of Ron Washington.
With the likes of Ian Kinsler, Michael Young and Josh Hamilton in the offence, to the increasingly long list of pitchers from Alexi Ogando, Derek Holland and Yu Darvish, there are a number of talented players in the team who add to the strength of the team
to take on their rivals.
“I told them I loved them,” he said. “They told me they loved me.”
Ron Washington was able to piece together a team that cruised their way to the World Series finals in both 2010 and 2011. Although the Texas Rangers failed to eventually win the finals, they seem braced for winning the coveted trophy for the first time in
their history.
It remains to be seen if that dream takes shape. The Rangers will be looking to Washington to lead them to another successful season as Spring Training is right around the corner.
