Texas Rangers’ Ron Washington adamant of winning Game 6 – MLB Update

Texas Rangers’ manager Ron Washington assured that the team’s attitude will not change and that he wants his team to produce the best they can in Game 6 and thus bag the first Fall Classic crown in the history of the ballclub.
Expressing his thoughts to reporters on Workout Day, Washington articulated that he does not want his team to lose momentum, especially with the Rangers just one win away from glory. The Cardinals annihilated Texas 16-7 in Game 3 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington,
but Ron’s army overcame the loss rather impressively, blanking the Redbirds 4-0 in Game 4 to level the series and then winning 4-2 in Game 5 to take a vital lead in the seven-game classic.
With the series now shifting back to Busch Stadium for the last two games, Washington remains positive that his team is suited to National League-style of play. Undoubtedly, the Rangers are quick between bases and have stolen more bases than the Cardinals,
who have no other choice but to win Game 6.
Washington accepted the fact that his team has now crossed the psychological barrier of five games in the World Series and the unit is now confident of officially becoming the Champions. The Rangers lost to San Francisco Giants in five games last year and
had vowed to come back next year to win the title.
Playing down excitement, Washington said, “Yeah, we want to win the game, but we have to play to win the game, and if we just come out and just play baseball the way we've been playing baseball and do the things that the game asks us to do, I think the results
take care of themselves. We can't make the results. We've got to go out there and play between the lines, and then the results happen.”
The manager urged his team to forget about the title and focus all energies for tomorrow’s game. Washington, unlike his counterpart Tony La Russa, has remained silent throughout the Fall Classic and results are speaking for him.
Commenting on a chance for rain delay, Washington stated that even if there was a delay in the game, his preparation for the game will not be hindered.
