Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington summarizes match after another defeat

Manager Ron Washington had a lot of expectations going into the second game between his team and the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
The skipper had put hope in his third starter in the rotation, Matt Harrison, to lead the right path to a club win.
However, he was not able to deliver a win, as he stumbled to a seven runs concession in a three-innings stint on the mound.
The pitcher walked three Blue Jays players and moved on to give up five runs in the very first innings. It was only an unfortunate realization for the Rangers manager that the bout had been lost. The opposition was too strong and Adam Lind provided most
of the damage against the Texans, as he smashed two home runs and drove in five runs. He was instrumental in getting his club to a 10–3 victory.
Harrison on the other hand, had to leave the bout after just three innings. His earning runs average double to 3.69 from 1.88. The ball thrower could not throw his fastball and his curveballs were just as wasteful.
"He just didn't have it", Washington said.
Harrison missed all his curveball throws. At one point he missed three consecutively.
"It just wasn't his night", Washington said. "They jumped all over his fastball and he couldn't get anything else over. You get 32 starts and you might have one of those. You might have two or three. He battled but he just couldn't get it done".
Brett Tomko came in as a replacement and he was instantly put to the sword as Lind smashed a three run homer against him. The Blue Jays hitter has 14 home runs to his name against the Rangers and that is the most against any team in Major League Baseball.
"He hits us pretty good, that's for sure", Washington said. "We've got to figure out how to get him out and see if we can do it the next two nights".
It will be interesting to see if the Rangers can draw the four-game series. Washington will need to think fast.
