Texas Rangers officially sign A.J. Pierzynski – MLB Update
Texas Rangers have officially signed catcher A.J. Pierzynski to a one-year deal. The Rangers’ management made it official that former Chicago White Sox catcher Pierzynski will represent their big league team in the next Major League Baseball season.
“Everybody keeps trying to make a big deal out of it, but I've known Wash for a really long time, It's not going to change the way I feel about Ron Washington because I know what he's done in this game and I know where he stands and what he's all about.
It's over and done with for me," Pierzynski said.
Rangers’ manager Ron Washington said and explained in the media, “I always loved him; I never hated him, I always loved him because he always believed he did anything and everything he had to do to try to beat you. I admired that."
Pierzynski performed tremendously in the last Major League Baseball season and achieved consistent numbers. He went hitting at an average of .278 along with 27 home runs, 77 RBIs and .326 OBP.
Not only in the previous Major League completion but Pierzynski is performing well since his arrival in the league. He started his career in 1998 from Minnesota Twins’ platform as later he also went onto to play for the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs.
So far his career numbers are also consistent at .284 hitting average along with 155 home runs, 730 RBIs and .324 OBP. His past seasons’ performance along with 2012 season’s performance was certainly impressive for Rangers to consider him to a one year deal.
Now experts believe that Pierzynski’s arrival in the Texas Rangers is a healthy sign that will increase their winning chances in the next season on-wards. Along with the Rangers, it also benefit Pierzynski’s game.
Pierzynski is considered one of the most talented catchers in the Major League and at the same time his batting skills also makes him a good professional. The coming season will be a great challenge for 14-year MLB veteran as where all big teams will also
