Texas Rangers right hander starting pitcher Neftali Feliz avoids arbitration – MLB Update
The Texas Rangers right hander starting pitcher Neftali Feliz has avoided arbitration and agreed to term for another two year. His deal was completed after Rangers agreed with $2.9 million contract.
He is an experienced Major League player and recently came out receiving a Tommy John Surgery. Experts earlier believed that Neftali might be leaving in future but those assumptions have now died as he will remain in the Rangers roster for another two years.
“Nefty is doing well, He’s coming into Arlington in a couple of weeks to get checked up by (team doctor Keith) Meister and then will report out in Arizona to continue his rehab. Everything’s on schedule,” confirmed Rangers general manager Jon Daniels and
explained in detail.
Recently a famous Rangers’ sports writer Gerry Fraley had given an interview in which he spoke on Feliz health and other related questions on his comeback.
“Pretty good. Orthopods have gotten so good at this surgery that most pitchers return with an extra mile or two of mph. Much depends on Feliz' willingness to put in the work in rehab.” He said and explained about Feliz’s health conditions as he was recovering
well.
Feliz is a good player and playing with the Rangers since 2010. He is an experienced campaigner and always shows good commitment during his presence on the field.
In the recent past Major League Baseball season, he did well on the mound and showed good numbers of 3.16 ERA along with 3-1win-loss, 37 strikeouts and 1.20 WHIP.
Not only in the recent past Major League Baseball season, Neftali Feliz has always shown good results and outcome which proved wonderful for the Rangers on many occasions.
This is also important to mention here that Feliz carried his thrust during the whole last Major League campaign and achieved very good stats. Overall his career ERA of 2.67 along with 10-7 win-loss, 201 strikeouts and 1.00 WHIP also makes him a good role
player in the league.
Meanwhile, experts believe that Feliz’s new contract with Rangers is a healthy chance and his presence will make things more competitive for the entire roster.
