  1. I would say go to Pheonix. Never liked Texas in fact it is probably My least favorite track that they race at. That and California .. oh wait its Auto Club Speedway now. Stupid!

  2. Ive been to Texas Motor Speedway 3 times and its never been a disapointment. If u like speed ts a great track b/c its one of the fastest. Not to mention there have only been I think 2 repeat winners so u never know who will win. Never been to PIR but im sure its fun too but I think id rather go to Texas if I had one choice a year.

  3. I cant speak for PIR but I can for Texas. Ive been there a number of times, Cup,Nationwide, Trucks & Indy car. Its one of the fastest tracks on the circuit. There is tons to do(not there is not in PHX). Your close to Dallas and real close to Ft Worth and usually in the spring race there the Fort Worth stockyards are having alot of their stuff going on.(concerts & stuff) Lots of drivers go down there for Chevy days at the stockyards and its a blast. The bad thing about Texas is the traffic. It is horrible, no matter which direction you come in from.

  4. i would say go for which is closer to you so you can save gas, they are both fun and exciting to watch. i live close to bristol so you know where i go spring and fall. =D

  5. PIR is great.  There is not a bad seat in the house.  Traffic is really bad so be prepared.

  6. Phoenix!!!

    Why...

The racing is so much better

It's not a cookie cutter track, so the racing is a lot closer and more exciting

A lot more bumping and banging for position like your local short track

    Night racing is great!

  7. texas hands down,, some of the best races on that circuit and indy circuit have been at this track,,,,

pheonix  is so flat and so slow ,, only race more boring is pocono,,,,

    you wont be disappointed,,

  8. Texas by far, they have the Truck races on Friday night, Bush races on Saturday and then the big boys run on Sunday.

it is a super track, and lots better than the Phoenix track......Texas has it all, and the turns are more sloped, and the track is faster, have been to both every year, prefer Texas any day.

  9. simple, which one would you rather see...both have two race dates and both are in the chase....you want a super speedway that is very fast or more of track that has different turn like pheonixe? do both lol

  10. Well, I'm partial to PIR. Been to may many races, Copper World, before NASCAR and NASCAR. It's a competitive one mile track.

On the flip side, my son just attended the NASCAR  race at Texas Speedway, he lives in Austin. Said he and his lady friend loved it. He is flying to PIR for the race this fall.

  11. seen good racing at both tracks but seems like more cars battling for the win at texas

  12. Can't speak for Texas - I lived in CA.

But I did make a venture to Phoenix - 24 hour road trip there and back from SoCal.  And the race - spring of '06 - was awesome!  Sat on the backstretch right where pit road merges into the track, just before the dogleg.  I've heard the seats up on the hill are really good.

Prior to my visit to Martinsville this was by far the best race I'd been to.  Let's face it - four trips to Cali-boring-ia are just that...boring.

Two suggestions?  One, alternate.  One track one year, the other track the next.  Second suggestion:  Go to both, and then keep going to the one you like better.

  13. Texas always seems to have the closer finishes thta what Phoenix does

  14. Texas

  15. phoenix fast track very excitting track closer racing and you see the whole track better! also tons of places on the track for passing phoenix for sure

  16. Go to Phoenix it's more old school racing.

  17. I'd personally like a race at Phoenix better, although I do like watching the races at both tracks.

  18. Texas Ive been there and its awesome

  19. From what I have seen on TV...Phoenix wins this question x10. Much more exciting to me, but I enjoy the racing at the shorter tracks better than the speedways
