  1. They're still legally considered Texans. There are two sets of income taxes: 1) Federal (for the whole country) and 2) State (for your state only -- if your state has state income tax). The Bushes will pay federal income tax; no one will pay Texas income tax.

  2. maybe because he lives in washington D.C.! : )

and no he's the president presidents get $400000 a year

  3. Texas does not have State income tax, but everyone in the US pays Federal income tax.

  4. Federal Income taxes are filed by everyone with income

  5. because right now they aren't in texas.

    and

    everyone hates them.

  6. Sounds like you got Federal and State income taxes confused. They "claim" Texas residency just so they don't hafta pay any state income taxes.

You file according to the state you claim residency.

  7. Or they could hold residency in more than one state.  Or perhaps Bush is just that generous and thoughtless and pays taxes like us reg'lar folks do.

  8. They haven't been living in Texas

  9. because they dont live in texas right now.  You  file your income tax in the state you live in, not where you were born or are native to.

And federal income tax goes for everyone....different from state income tax

  10. No, they are not "native Texans" and I can't believe you didn't know that.

  11. Well I'm no american but im pretty sure it has to do with where you reside, and not where you're from... and do they not live in a different place now, like washington, dc?

  12. Texas has no state income tax. They still must pay for federal income tax.

  13. Because they are dumb and don't know how to run a Country.

I'm ashamed that G.W.B is  from Texas my home state.

  14. The President makes a salary.  It's $400,000 a year, he pays income taxes on that.
