  1. Never.  You can get beat by 3-2's.  See the flop, my recommendation.

OK, here's the deal: some people are getting upset at me because they don't like my advice. I'll explain my advice...

You get excited w/ pocket Aces, you not only call a pre-flop raise, but you go all-in, as the questioner asked.  Now, your *only* chance at not losing everything is hitting one or 2 more Aces, to give you 3 or 4-kind...OR....hoping nobody else lands triples, two-pair, flush, etc.

Yes, going all-in seems like the right thing to do...but remember, there are: A) Other players getting 5 more cards, just like you, and B) Many hands that can beat a pair of Aces, should that be all you pick up.  You can't see a two-pair draw or a triple that someone else may flop.

To sum up, Yes, calling the raise is smart- you will, at this point, probably take the pot.  Going *all-in pre-flop* may only work as a bluff.  Pocket Aces are a good hand, the best hand pre-flop, but after the flop it's still only a pair unless you're lucky.  Odds are against you that your Aces will take it after the board is down.

Like I had to tell someone, it's *your* game, play it how *you* want.  I am just sharing my experience, that's what this site is about.  Good luck in your game.

  2. If the player who raises you is playing loose, re-raise x4-5, and you may get a caller or two because other players may think you are putting a play on that loose player. But against tough player, I will re-raise more or even all-in because they are tough to make money from after the flop anyway.

  3. go all in

  4. if the raise puts you all in go for it... otherwise just call or reraise but be wary of two pair and three of a kinds floating out there if the hand plays all the way out

  5. Personally, I'll go all in if I'm in the later stages of a tournament. For cash games, it depends on my position and how many people are in the pot. Then I'll generally limp or make a min raise because it's still very easy to be beaten with pocket A A.

  6. sure..... with ace's its a good bet you'll win.... odds are highly un-likely your opponents have a better hand...

  7. If it is preflop you have to go all in.  Nobody else can have a better hand than you before the flop.  After the flop though it is possible you are beat though.  But before the flop, with two aces you should never fold.
