if i live in texas & took a drivers ed class and have papers from the class but lost my permit do i need my permit to get my license?

  4. Yes, you need your permit. You can get a duplicate for $10. You have to take proof of identity and social security card.

  5. yes just go to the DPS and get a new one i think its like 5 dollars

  6. i just took my sis in law to get hers after she took clases and sure enough she forgot her permit at home but turns out she didnt need it. make sure you take your papers the money to pay and a form of id... i live in san antonio

    you need a permit to get a lisence anywhere in north america

  8. I would guess and say no.  I'm sure the DMV has a record of it.  In CA there is a number on the permit that will end up being your license #.
