Texiera for Cantu and Zambrano... what do you think?

Question

I traded Mark Texiera for Jorge Cantu and Carlos Zambrano.

This guy is pretty much loaded with SPs and has not much hitting, i am pretty well off in hitting categories and needed a solid SP.

So i'm replacing Mark Texiera with Jorge Cantu and gaining Zambrano... good deal?

Great idea. Zambrano is having an amazing year and Cantu is doing unbelievable as well on a pretty good Marlins team that gets on base. I'd rather have a good pitcher over good hitter any day of the week and you made a great deal. Way to go!!

Seems like the trade benefited both teams, though I would say it may have helped you more. Teixeira and Cantu are about equal in rank, though Teixeira should do slightly better in the 2nd half because he normally heats up during that time. However, Zambrano is a huge acquisition for your starting rotation and should help it very much. Consider this a clearly beneficial trade for you.
