Text in photoshop wont work when i hit enter?

You know when you hit enter, to move the text down a line. If i click enter it just disapears. Im using PS CS2, it just started happening randomly about a week ago and it wont go back to normal. I dont even know how it happened in the first place

My first thought is that your leading is set wonky. If you're using 48 point type on an average size image and your leading got set to 500 or something crazy, the returned line would run right off the page.

It sounds like it might be more of a real problem than that, but it's worth checking.
