I decided to phone the number a couple of minutes after i got the text, but the number didnt exist.

can anyone understand this? and no silly answers please, and it wasnt someone messing about, the text was to serious and i didnt recognise the number.

  1. They probably just took out their sim card.

  2. Something very similar happened to me!

I remember I used ot get all these calls from a withheld number. It would only ring for about a second, then hang up. Every time, I checked the date and time it called me, and it kept saying that the time of call was Midnight during the year 2251.

    That really spooked me!

  3. There are some cases where a phone message from another phone company could be sent to your phone if they were somehow on the same frequency. In that case, that's a very real message to another very real person. When you say the number doesn't exist, it could be because this person has one of those illegal cloaking devices in their phones, or has simply blocked numbers that they do not recognize so the call would never get through, causing a sometimes automatic voicemail service or message popup saying that this is an unregistered or unrecognizable phone number that you have entered. Usually called Invalid.   Although two phones being on the same frequency is highly doubtful, I can't see any other explanation other than a phenominon and I really don't believe in that.

  4. thats creepy

  5. Things can go wrong without there having to be a supernatural explanation.  Natural things go wrong quite enough to show that inventing the supernatural is unnecessary  :-)

  6. Idk hun what the deal is but when my family member was in the hospital my aunt, myself, and cousin were staying at his home. We got a call one evening we were leaving the hospital, it was his home number and I had a voicemail.

My aunt listend to it as I was driving and we could not really make it out. It said something like come home we miss you, it was something like that.

Well when we got to his house his phone was dead not even plugged in. A few days later I ask my grandpa why did you have your phone unplugged at your house? He said because I got it turned off sense I'm in the hospital and can't go back home and live on my own.

We were freaked out we never stayed there again.

I actually ask people on here what they thought about the voicemail I had got. You can go look it up and see what kind of answers I got.

But his house has some serious issues the phone call isn't the 1st scary thing to happen there.

  7. I had something like that happen once only it was a phone call.  I got home from work and noticed on my caller ID that I missed a call but nobody left a message.  When I called the number back I got the recording saying that number was not in service.

  8. Someone texted you from a free texting service. ..

  9. the minutes could of ran out and it could've been a text... some times on tract phones the number can become deactivated after the minutes run out

  10. uh...maybe they disconnected like 2 seconds afterwards idk that sounds creepy haha

    its no big deal

  11. umm maybe their fone got cut off after the message was sent like virgin mobile the only had enough minutes to send 1 more text.and then never put more minutes on  idk but just a idea

  12. they probobly changed there number

  13. I have had someone call me and the number showed up on my phone but when I called it back, it was disconnected...then I got two more missed calls from that same number.

I don't think it's related to the paranormal but I haven't figured it out either.  Perhaps telemarketers have found ways to fake what number they are calling from. *shrugs*

As for your situation, maybe the person had their cell disconnected because they didn't want the person who they were breaking up with to be able to contact them...and in their haste, they texted to the wrong number.

I don't know what to tell you other than that.

It makes me feel sad for the two people though, I am such a sucker sometimes.  ;)

  14. Sending anonymous text messages is not hard to do. Just google "anonymous text message" or "anonymous sms" and you'll find many sites that can facilitate that.

If this was someone really breaking up with someone else that's probably why they were sending it anonymously. They didn't want the ex to have their new number.

  15. Someone that knows you got your number
