Text messaging on blackberry pearl 8130?

Question

Ive had my blackberry pearl 8130 for quite a while now, and Ive been texting a lot, and everything I am texting, I get frustrated with the fact that I cant type more than 200 characters. It makes me mad because even with my old moto krzr k1 I could type muuch longer text messages. I also cant get very long text messages with my blackberry, and if theyre long, I only get bits and pieces at a time and not even in order!

It only occured to me today that maybe theres a setting or something so that text messages CAN be longer? I highly doubt it, but its worth a try :)

txt is called SMS short messaging services. each SMS can only contain 160 characters. some devices will allow you to continue into a second txt sent along with the first but charged as a second txt after the 160th character of the first txt.
