Texting Overseas - New Zealand to Australia?

Okay, so my friends are going to New Zealand over the holidays and I was wondering if it would still be 1cent to text them and if she would recieve texts from me straight after I send them?

generally texts are received straight away but the cost depends on your cellphone company.  vodafone seem to be pretty easy & accomodating between Oz & NZ.  Your friends need to call them before they leave as they would need to connect up to the NZ vodafone network (this is free to connect up).

your cellphone provider probably gives info on this on their website under FAQ (frequently asked questions).

I have Vodaphone and it costs me 25 cents to text overseas, the same price as in Australia.
