I have a Sprint phone with unlimited texting that I pay for.

Would it cost extra to send a text message to someone in California when I am living in Connecticut?

And while, I'm here would it cost extra to call someone on my cellphone who lives in California when I am living in Connecticut?

  1. Texting, unlike calling is a supply-on-demand type of messaging, and does not require as much resources to send as sound waves to towers in retrospect to a regular phone-call. No, generally text messages have a set based rate, meaning you'll pay one set rate a month for each text sent. For example: I have a lady in Wales I generally text to living in Wisconsin, United States; I have an unlimited plan, but it sets itself as 15 cents a text (with Alltel).

  2. If you have unlimited text it do not matta who you text or where they live.

If you bought the mobile to mobile or the long distance plan then that should not matta either just contact your provider and they can tell you what you pay for

  3. No. texting is texting... there's no such thing as "long distance" text messages. =b

  4. nope i moved from Cali and i unfortunately live in VA now and thats all i do is call/text back home..
