Texts from a 8 digit Y! number???

Question

I keep getting nasty text messages to my cell phone from a yahoo address. Funny thing is that the address it displays is my roommates, and he says he didn't do it. It has his yahoo ID at the top of the text (thickbrothad43:) and then the message. Then it also says a number at the bottom (924-665-03). What is this #? Is it a yahoo ID? I did a yahoo search of that # and nothing came up. My roommate swears he didn't send me the texts, so then who is sending them? Is there any way of tracking that 8 digit # and finding out where it came from? Or is my roommate lying since it has his yahoo messenger ID on the top of the message? I don't understand how this all really works. PLZ HELP. Thank you

it is Probably you roommate.

but you can go to you providers website to change you setting and texting and block any certain #

I hate to say this, but it may be your roommate, unless you have 2 accounts ...and her number happens to be the same as the one that sent it...(highly unlikely)

The message IS from Yahoo SMS messenger.  

yahoo sms contains 5 numbers and 3 digit friend code
