  1. Yes, tahini  (ground sesame seeds) is extremely nutritious and has many health benefits. It is particularly noted for being and excellent source of protein and calcium for people who choose not to eat meat and dairy products. Tahini also contains significant amounts of vitamin A, thiamin, B6,  magnesium and copper as well as a good range of other vitamins and minerals. Although tahini is high in fat (approx 50%) this is not saturated fat but the GOOD kind of fat which is essential for proper cell growth and functioning. Enjoy it hot or cold, in cooking sauces, salad dressings, as a subsitute for butter and margarine...  as well as being good for you it is tasty and vertasile - so experiment, and enjoy!
