  2. I've actually had sticky ball rice with just a bowl of soupy vegetable cooked together with tiny morsel of meat (chicken, frog) dish for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a rural Thai village. Yes they - all 6 family members - were very poor folks living off the environment. This apparently is the common food in rural Thai villages.

  3. breakfast :- soya beam soup, rice with simple(not so hot) dishes, thai pancakes, thai sweets., anything that is easy to grab and eat..

lunch: rice with semi-hot dishes,beef/pork noodles, rice with thai salads, pat thai and anything that is fast and easy to eat..

  4. Hey there. I am a Chinese born Thai and living in Thailand. I'll answer your question =]

Well, for a Thai the thing that comes first to mind when you say 'Thai breakfast' would be... Khao Tom, Johk, and Pa Thong go..

Khao Tom -- A Thai rice soup. It can be shrimp, chicken, pork, etc...

Johk -- Is different from "Khao Tom" but very similar. It's a thick rice soup with pork. Here in Thailand they would sell them in the morning for like 25 cent. My little cousin always had some Johk before school lol =]

Pa Thong Go -- Is like a Thai donut. Simple and easy to go.

I would say these three above there are a traditional breakfast common foods in Thailand.

Now for lunch and dinner it can be any of these below. (a noodle or anything with jasmine rice)

Pad Gra Pow -- Stir beef herbal leave calls "Gra Pow" serve over rice, and it can be pork, chicken, beef, or etc.

Kuay Teow - Simple noodle soup most likely are with meatball noodle (depend on what you order)

Yen Ta Fo -- Noodle soup, most come with seafood

Bemee -- Yellow noodle. It can be soup or dry.

Pad Thai -- Stir-Fried doodles. Is a bit sweet.

To all of these noodle dishes they're different and taste different.

Also some Thai that like Issan's food would have ..grill chicken with stinky rice and most likely it will go with green papaya salad.

There's so many but yup to answer your question these are the most common foods in Thailand.

Thai cuisine is similar to Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. Only that Thai eat most spiciest one.

    Anyway. Thank

  5. I like garlic fish and cocunut soup
