Can anyone learn and practise Thai Massage?

Anyone can learn and practice it on friends and family members. If you want to practice professionally in the US you will most likely need a professional massage license which varies depending on what state you are in.

Actually Thai massage is part of the regular curriculum at my massage school. But I have a fantastic massage school. The best way for you to learn is to start with the basics of massage at a school. If you already are a massage therapist, you could use books or videos, go to Thailand, find a therapist that does it and see if they will apprentice you, or find a massage school that has it on their curriculum and learn from them. healingmountain.org Good luck!

Thai massage is not taught as a part of the regular curriculum at massage school.  Anyone can learn and practice Thai massage.  The full title is called Thai Yoga Massage, where you use assisted (by you) Yoga positions along with massage.  Oriental College is a good place to start.  Also check out DVD's at massagewarehouse.com or http://www.massagetherapy.com/home/index...

Yes. But it helps if you have a background in basic massage but not necessary.  Here is a website for a DVD, book etc. http://www.learnthaimassage.com/  Or you could contact a local massage school near you and see what their requirements are if they teach Thai massage.  I hope this helps...good luck!
