The victorious shuttler will face either second seeded Thai player Ratchanok Inthanon or Japanese girl Minatsu Mitani in second last round of the event.
Earlier in quarter-final tussle, Lin Wang mesmerised the crowd with her spell-binding performance in last two segments while her opponent could only live the moment of glory in the start.
This tussle, held in CU Sports Complex of Bangkok, opened with Lin Wang launching an intensive attack which took her to a comfortable position of six.
She carried this momentum and kept the bird under control in next four rallies. Lin sat on bench with a decent five-point advantage at mid-game break.
Later part of the game, changed whole scenario as the opposing shuttler Sun Yu made a swift progress and narrowed the gap at 11-13.

However, she could not go with same flow in second set as Lin Wang revived her lost form and brought the scale to right balance.
This time she did not give any counterattack opportunity to her competitor and enjoyed an upper hand from very first shot to last one.
In first half of the set, she gained a respectable lead in 5-2 and then moved steadily on points table until 8-6.
At the interval, she was standing at 11-7 and this notable edge helped her to dominate four nonstop rallies in third quarter of game.
The other Chinese campaigner Sun Yu could not lift the burden of deficit and knelt down after reading 13-21 margin on the board.
Third and final segment of this show saw the brilliance and passion at their best as both country-fellows remained lock until 8-8 but then Wang Lin’s magic prevailed and she sealed a splendid victory with a convincing total of 21-12.
