Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold: Li Han topples Desi Hera in Women’s Singles first round encounter
China’s in-form young player Li Han showed her aggression in the court when she played to her maximum potential and registered as easy victory over Indonesia’s Desi Hera in Women’s Singles first round encounter at the SCG Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold 2012
on Wednesday, June 6, in Thailand.
The impressive Chinese, who has been delivering phenomenal performances for the last six months, showed her elevated skills while playing against Hera and remained successful in winning the match in two games without facing any trouble.
Han was one class above to Indonesian lady as she played flawless badminton in the whole contest and wrapped up a sensational victory by taking just 36 minutes in the court.
In contrast, Hera played competitive badminton in opening set of the match but failed to stop the progress of her Chinese opponent in the second game and crashed out without putting up strong show.
In the first game, both ladies showed their hard-to-learn craft by keeping the tempo of rallies quite fast and progressed equally on the score board.
The Chinese tried to take lead by working quickly at the net but failed to build a comfortable lead as her Indonesian opponent remained close until the one-minute interval.
After the break, Han changed her playing strategy and started to play straight and cross-court net shots which disturbed the rhythm of her Indonesian challenger.
The positive and planned game helped Han to bag the first game with a respectable score of 21-18.
In the second game, it was the Chinese who stamped her supremacy in the court by taking an early lead as she took over the control from her Indonesian rival and dictated the pace of rallies.
Until the one-minute break in second game, the in-form Chinese lady was leading the score board with a reasonable gap.
After the interval, Han continued showing her tremendous skills in the court and remained successful in winning the second set with a six-point advantage of 21-15.
The impressive Han proved her mettle as she overpowered Hera in two games with a convincing margin of 21-18 and 21-15.
