Thames Valley Police Speed awareness course?

I got caught on a motorway doing more than 70. Can I get a speed awareness course instead of 60 pounds and points.

It seems that the police followed me for 5/6 miles and they said that am averaging between 85-90. They gave me a ticket saying, exceeded the speed limit of 70.

The last I want is to have points on my licence. Am I eligible to go to the speed awareness course and avoid points ? If so, could someone let me know the procedure please.....

  1. Go to a local Police station and ASK about your options.

  2. It states that if you are caught going over the speed limit between 20 to 29 miles per hour then you will be able to take the course..
