Question:

Thank You Notes for Bridal Shower?

by  |  earlier

I was wondering what the proper etiquette is for a situation like this...three of my co-workers went in together and got us a candle with a holder, toasting glasses, and sparkling grape juice. They gave it to me at my bridal shower so I should mention all three of these things when I write their thank you notes, correct? I was thinking maybe I could get away with not mentioning the grape juice, but I don't want to be rude. Please help! :-)

  1. Dear _________,

Thank you so much for the lovely gifts. ________ and I really enjoyed them. Also thank you for attending the shower, hope to see you soon.

    Greatest Thanks,

    __________

  2. Just write, "Thank you so much for your thoughtful gifts. Not only was the ambiance wonderful when my fiance used our glasses, thanks to the candle, we had some delicious bubbly to boot! Thank you again for your gift. We both greatly appreciate it."

Even if you haven't used it yet, it's a good way to include everything without sounding weird.

  3. Thank you so much for your lovely gift.  The candle holder goes perfectly with my ____ & the toasting glasses are just beautiful. Most importantly, thank you for sharing my day with me - I can't wait to see you at the wedding.
