Thank you cards, Bridal Shower and Wedding?

So I just had my shower this past saturday and I'm already working on sending the thanks you cards out... And I know I have to send cards out for people who are just coming to the wedding, Do I need to send 2 cards to people who came to both?

Yes, you need to first send out the thank yous to those who attended the shower thanking them for their gift.

Then, after your wedding, you need to send out thank yous again to those guests thanking them for their gift.

If someone attended both the shower and the wedding, YES, you need to send separate ones.

No one cares about the style of the card or if they are the same for both.  It simply matters that you send them.

You should send two separate ones since the shower gift is usually to you it should be from you but the wedding gifts are to the couple so the thank yous should be from you both.

I don't see the problem with using the same card stock. If you like that is what matters.

Yes you should send separate cards for both events.  What kind of cards you use is completely up to you.

You should send people a separate thanks for each event.  It is the most polite thing to do, they went to the effort of attend both of your events, you can go through the effort of sending them cards for both.  Especially because most people that get you a shower gift and then attend your wedding will probably also get you a wedding gift too, and they should be thanks equally for both gifts.

I don't think the card stock matters.  If they match then when they are displayed somewhere together, people will know they are both from you! :)

You are correct, people who attend both events will get two Thank You cards.

Its ok if its the same card. If possible I would do a different style card for each but thats just my opinion.

I know thats what you're supposed to do, but I'm sending out all at once.... lol.

I sent the ones that just went to the shower, and those who went to the shower and the wedding are getting one card with a thanks for everything.

But thats just me.

Yes, you have to send a card for each event. You can send whatever style of card you'd like.
