  1. This would depend upon several things, what you have for an engine(size),and what other mods have been made. The less HP you have the narrower the tire must be to keep it moving. I have been away from it for a while but there used to be a tire called a "Sandblaster" that was an excellent all around off-road tire. You could beat that tire to death and it would come back for more. Tire height can and will kill your torque available to the ground. If you are not geared to overcome the gain in height don't increase it by much unless you have a monster engine. Too tall and as soon as you start to bog down your engine will not be able to recover and you will find yourself dead in the water. I ran 8 1/2 wide 26" tall "Sandblasters" on 15x8 wheel with an 1835cc dual carb and could go just about anyplace my front wheels pointed me. I live in Florida about the only thing I was not able to do was go to the mountains for obvious reasons. Sand.swamp, mud or pavement it was at home and did rather well. It was a 71 IRS sedan that would always embarrass the 4x4 boys because I could invariably go where they could not ,for 1/10th of the money and 10x's the fun. I could jump everything from railroad tracks to tailing piles at old phosphate mines while the 4x4's worried about breaking things, sucked to be them. One last thing just remember you can turn the 30's or even larger but everything is a trade-off,the larger you go the more power it takes to turn them and to keep them moving. d**n those are fun cars! If you are an aggressive driver like I was/am consider a roll bar that is functional, you will eventually need it.

  2. Get some BFG's Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 either............
