Thanks but i need more help

thanks for trying to help me but your advice didnt work. The problem now is that neither the original remote control (tv silvania) nor the sentry RMC10 remote control work. It's really weird. the sentry RMC10 work when i interchange to DVD and Cable functions but as soon as i try to control my tv, the remote control becomes useless. As i told you before the only way i can turn on and off my tv is when i plug and unplug it. Besides that on the screen appear strange numbers and words that i've never seen.
