i wanted to know how long should i in leave the food that the goldfish r not eating in the tank? should i try some smashed peas?

You dont need to crush your peas. Just take off the shell or they probably won't eat it. Also, goldies are looking for the food that went to the bottom so you don't need to take the food out. Hope I helped! p.s. if you have a filter at least you shouldn't have to take it out.

I would say 2-3 minutes, no longer than 5, as it will begin to cloud the water. Also, cooked peas, crushed or not, are a good food for most fish, so I'd say go for it :)
