Now, does the "gas" cable adjust in the control box at the "captains" chair? Neutral is FORWARD of where it should be.

"Full Throttle" is foreward and pointed DOWN.

  1. I am guessing, are you trying to set-up your control cables? If so,there is a certain way it must be done if you wish it to work properly.I will try and explain it in order for you.

1)Put the control in neutral and the motor.

2)Adjust the brass barrel on the cable until it will fit on the motor. Before installing your throttle cable you need to check for proper shifting.Have someone shift it into forward gear as you turn the prop with your hand until it is in gear.Remember the position of the handle. Now do the same with reverse. If the

handle is not the same distance from neutral to forward and neutral to reverse, adjust the brass barrel in or out until the distance is the same for both.Shifting is now done.

3)With the control handle in neutral adjust the brass barrel on the throttle cable until it fits onto the engine with the throttle plates closed.Once you have done this try shifting it from neutral to full throttle in forward and reverse to make sure it is working properly. You're done.Hope this helps and good luck.
