Thanks to those who helped with getting to Yankee Stadium. What about getting home...repeat process?

I'm a little intimidated about the whole thing. Are there better ways to get back to Times Square that are safer than other...time is not an issue coming back. I really appreciate you guys answering and helping out. I'm a country boy who doesn't know what the big city is all about.

The B or the D will take you right to Times Square.  It is relatively safe, but I would stay out of the last car.  If it will make you feel more secure ride in the conductor's car.  That would be the fifth or sixth car, depending on the length of the train.

Well I didn't see your first question, but getting back to Times Square from Yankee Stadium is simple. Take a Manhattan bound B or D train and get off at Seventh Ave which will bring you to 53rd St and Seventh Ave

No reason to be intimidated. Even if it's late at night, the trains will be full of fans going back to the city.
