What the Twins fans did in the 7th inning was wrong but did it show you that even Small Market Teams have a strong fan base...You can talk an hour about Yankee/Red Sox fans booing each other but What the Twin fans did in the 7th made Yankee fans and Red Sox fans look like saints....and it shows..the Small Team still has as much support as the big team

Oh and the question....what are your predictions for the AL Central the White Sox and Twins meet one more time for a 3 game series in Minnesota and Minnesota is destroying all the other AL Central Teams (Best record against one division than all the other teams)...While the White Sox bring in Kenny jr. and use power to hold on to the small lead they've had for over 100 games...I really think who ever is in Second place in this Division gets the Wild Card....Because if you were to look at the Red Sox and Yankees schedule ahead...yea yeesh!

  1. I think the Twins could win the AL Central, IF the following happens:

    1. First & foremost, NO KEY INJURIES. We absolutely cannot lose another player, especially Morneau or Mauer. Losing the ones we have is enough. A Morneau injury would be devastating.

    2. Liriano needs to come up, and Hernandez or Bonser have to go, or vastly improve. That situation must resolve.

    3. Several players need to step it up on offense. I'm looking at you: Monroe & Everett (yes I know he just came up, but still).

Even if al of this happens, the White Sox aren't going to just fold. For the Twins to win the AL Central, their bats would have to cool off as well.

  2. Your Twins have really tough road trips ahead (one is a 14 game road trip).  The White Sox are 5-13 in domes this year (surprisingly, not that bad against the Rays, 3 of the wins are there).

If your Twins can keep it in 3 games all year until next meeting and the White Sox can't extend it more than 3 games, then it is going to be a scary race for me .

I am not worried yet (I was actually happy with 1 win, it preserves the 1 less loss lead), the Twins have to over take the Sox for me to worry (It's been this close before in the year).

  3. The game was nearly forfeited! Those were just a few fans that maybe were too drunk.

I still feel confedent that the White Sox can win the division. The Twins have more road games than hoad games for the rest of the year and the Sox have more home games. ANd there is an important 3 games series vs. the White Sox in the last week of the season and it's at The Cell. That could determine the Central.

I just think the Sox will pull away with it, but good luck to your Twins!

EDIT: Sorry, my bad! I thought with the Sox closing it out vs. the Indians, and the Twins with the series before, they would be at home. My bad!

  4. i think the yankees or red sox got the wild card, but the twins have a pretty good chance of winning the central, its not like its a very strong division or anything

  5. The White Sox will win the AL Central and The Rays will win the AL wild card, because The Yankees is going to win the AL East

  6. Twins are winning the division, I could care less about the AL east and the wild card. If the Twins are in, that's all I'm paying attention to.

I think it's good what Gardy did yesterday. He got his team and the crowd fired up. We score 4 runs that inning, and win a crucial game!

Once we get Liriano and Cuddy back, that's basically like making a trade for two all-star caliber players, so I think the Twins are looking good the rest of the year.
