  1. asap

  2. Believe it or not, I believe ediquette says 6 months.

  3. Within two weeks of returning from the honeymoon.  There's no reason for not sending them out later than that.  People were kind enough to get the gift to the bride on time and the thankyou should be sent promptly too.  It's just the right thing to do.

  4. When you come home from your honeymoon get them done and sent out ASAP.  If you wait to long people feel slighted

  5. I got married in April, I still haven't sent them out!!  Thanks for the reminder!

  6. The best is to send as soon as you can, I would suggest sending them after honey moon but here's a web site to help you out.

  7. Its usaly best to send them out after you get back from your honey moon.

  8. People understand that you're going to busy right after the wedding. Thank you's should go out no later than six weeks after returning from the honeymoon.

  9. I sent mine within the next week, no honeymoon though.  I would go at least a week or less after honeymoon.

  10. Wedding etiquette suggestion is up to 2 months but a month is about what people expect in my own opinion. Congratulations!

  11. I think it really depends on the person. But try to get them out in less then a month after getting the gift(s).

  12. Technically you have one year but I would do it within three months.

  13. I believe, traditionally, you are safe within 1 month..good luck and happy carpal tunnel to you!

  14. Up to one month after the honeymoon. But the sooner the better.

  15. think about getting it done within about a month of coming back from your honeymoon

  16. You should have them out within a month of returning from your honeymoon.

  17. at least before 6 months after the wedding( that's etiquette) do it as ASAP though

  18. usually 3 weeks is the polite deadline for thank you notes

  19. I'd say with in a week or two at most ... congrats on your wedding best wishes to you and the groom....

  20. I would would say about 3-6 weeks after the wedding

  21. within 6 months is acceptable -those who give gifts understand that there are more pressing issues for the first few weeks.

  22. 6 weeks is polite

  23. Generally that would depend on the time you are away on your honeymoon. But I would say the thank you cards should all be sent out no later than 1-2 weeks after returning from your honeymoon. Congratulations by the way!

  24. Most of the ones I've received has been within 4 to 6 weeks. I got one at 6 months once, which I thought was pretty rude.

  25. a month about.

  26. up to a year, but would you want to wait that long?  do them sooner...

  27. I think a month is an acceptable length of time, anything longer than that is rude

  28. They should be sent out within the first 2-3 months

  29. The sooner the better, and within a month for sure!

  30. I think that everyone is going to give you at least 2 weeks for a honeymoon  - whether you take one or not - but I would way that you need to have them sent out by the end of the third week.

  31. According to Emily Post's guide to etiquette the bride AND GROOM (last time I checked the bride isn't the only one who got presents/money/good wishes from friends and family) should send out thank yous within 3 months of the wedding. Personally, I'd aim for no longer than a month (if you can) because otherwise it just seems like old news.

    Other tips:

handwrite each note and include something personalized to say, otherwise there's no point in even sending a thank you - it's almost more insulting to get a "form letter" thank you or one of those tacky wedding picture thank you cards that doesn't have anything written on it

even send thank yous for attendees, not just for the gifts
