Finding Virgie's family is going to REQUIRE some careful searching.  First, it would appear that her death date is 2005, and not what you gave. I STRONGLY advise that you make sure to get her death certificate, since getting back into the other records, has conflicts, with your information.

One- you show Wilbur Blanchard to be her brother. There are a number of Wilbur Blanchards in the ssdi.  ONE is connected to Louisiana, having a birth year of 1914.. and died in 1983.  Is there ANY chance that your Wilbur was born after 1930, and may still be living?

The above Wilbur is found in 1930 census, in Assumption parish, and he lives with parents, Henry and Nellie Blanchard.  That would be fine.. except that family does not include a sister named Virgie.  

You then have the info already posted.. finding Virgie L. Blanchard, lives with HER parents.. Eddie and Hazel. This family has no son named Wilbur ..UNLESS there is a 2nd Wilbur, who was born after the 1930 census, thus not appearing.

For the moment.. IF your Virgie is the daughter of Eddie/ Hazel.. then the next step is finding Eddie in an earlier census. In 1930, he is age 23, but keep in mind that this MAY be slightly off.  Again.. there is a major problem, since in 1910, there are at least THREE Eddie Blanchards who may be the same as married Hazel.. all of those born between 1905-1908.  To add to the fun.. one is a nephew to the family; one is a grandson, and one or two are sons!!! At this point, then, it is NOT POSSIBLE to be sure which Eddie is the one who married Hazel.. and thus, which is the actual parent to your Virgie.. assuming that she is actually daughter to Eddie and Hazel.  

Not done yet.  The 1930 census says Hazel is Hazel F Blanchard, born about 1911.  SSDI has several Hazel Blanchards in Louisiana. Eddie's wife MIGHT be the one with birth in 1911, died 21 Oct 2000.  For that lady, the middle initial is given as Hazel B.  Go figure. Fortunately, she is the closest in terms of age, but it is still critical that to find her ancestry, you will want to be sure you have the correct one.

Overall.. census often allows you to trace someone back with little problems.  In YOUR situation, it is imperative that you use OTHER records, and pull them all together, each step of the way.  I would say that you absolutely must order her death certificate, perhaps her social security file, and any other documents that you can get your hands on. The death cert is the most important, since it is the one that should include the name(s) of her parents.
