Can she actually _play_ the guitar? Or does she just pose with it like a lot of artists do? George Michael, Bono, Elvis etc etc etc.

A little I think...although all the people you mentioned all played the guitar to varying degrees (ok so they couldnt play Eruption by Van Halen, but they played a few chords, which is enough, ok I am not sure about GM, but the other two can/could def play a little)

she actually can play it, shes been playing it live since 2001 Drowned World, she played Electric guitar for 1 song, and Acoustic for 4 more songs.

She also did it on 2004 Reinvention, played electric/rhythm on 2 songs, and Acoustic for 2 more songs.

She did it again on 2006 Confessions, 2 songs on electric, 1 song on acoustic

and the pic you just saw is on the 2008 Sticky and sweet tour, she does acoustic/electric for a lot of songs there

and yah she may not be jimi hendrix or watever when it comes to guitar, but she can play it.
