What has your little one done that just made your heart melt? What has been the most rewarding thing after having your baby? What do you enjoy most?

For me- the heart melting moment was a few days ago I was playing with my daughter on the floor and she came crawling over to me, stood up, and fell, wrapping her arms around my neck! She had never done anything like that before. :)

What was your moment??

  1. wow,i have lots!but this is really memorable to me;when my daughter started kindergarden last week.first time in any kind of school, with her little uniform dress on,hair all done up.she was so adorable..she got on the bus&blew me kisses, even tho the other kids were looking at her.and w/ my son...it was when he first pinned somone at a wrestling tournament at age 5!!

  2. my newest awww moment was about a month ago  when my youngest was 9 months old . I was sitting in the chair watching him play when he crawled over to me stood up and put him arms up like he wanted me to pick him up so I did then I sat him on my lap when he turned and gave me a kiss in the cheek and when I said thank you for the kiss he put his head on my shoulder and went to sleep.

  3. I think that the most memorable heart-melting moment took place when my son was 12 weeks old. He had just finished a long and exhausting tantrum, and had settled down enough to breastfeed. While caressing his hair and kissing his forehead, I whispered "I love you".

He stopped eating, looked up at me with his gigantic blue eyes, and gave me an ear-to-ear toothless smile. Although it lasted for just a moment before he went back to eating, it brought tears of happiness to my eyes.

  4. First thing in the morning when I go to get my daughter out of her crib and she gives me the biggest smile. It just makes my heart soar, just seeing how even at such a small age she just has pure love for her mommy. It makes every day so awesome!

  5. mine was today, my son is only 6 weeks old and you know how at first they just sort of sleep and eat and look around.....i went to his crib to check on him and as soon as i said "hello there little guy" he had the brightest smile on his face and just kept on smiling and cooing at me. very touching =-)

  6. For me the biggest moment was when he was about 3 months old. We were on my bed and I put my shih-tzu up on the bed to see the baby, they've loved each other from the moment I brought my son home. All three of us looked sleepy so we all cuddled up to have a nap. My son was laying to my front nursing and the dog in the crook of my knees. When I woke up, my Husky mixed had joined the cuddle as did my two cats. I had my son at my chest, one cat laying on his feet and one on my own. My shih-tzu still was at behind my knees and my bigger dog laying tight against my back.

That moment alone was heart melting to be cuddling with the 5 most important creatures in my life under 70 lbs. Then I sneezed and thought I ruined it, none of the animals left the bed but my son woke up with a look of terror on his face. He stopped, looked at me, smiled and went back to sleep....

  7. Mine was the first time I heard my son laugh. Precious. =)

  8. I waited all that time through pregnancy and finally made it to the delivery room. My pregnancy was great and so was my labor.  The gut wrenching part was when she was born she did not wake up.  A team of specialists ran in and what seamed like hours was only minutes but my absolute "awwww" moment will always be when I finally got hear her cry.  It's a little different but i was always remember that and that the first thing that came to mind when i saw your question.

  9. well my son is only 31/2  months but my heart melts when he giggles there couldnt bee a sweeter sound in the world.

  10. When I first saw him in a dream. He looked at me, and it was love, then the first kick. As if to say hello. After that, when he smiled at me.

  11. Heart melting moment - One day I was sitting on the floor watching TV as she was playing and she stood up, walked over to me and gave me a kiss :) Which was actually just last week.

  12. I have a 4yr old son & I just love that when he says he loves me or that he missed me that it is so genuine...Hearing him say those things without being prompted is just the best! And not a day goes past that I am still in awe of what me & my partner produced....Its just the ultimate! I'm now almost 8 weeks pregnant with #2 & I hope its a little girl!!! :)

  13. There are so many awww moments with my son.  I will never forget the first time he said "MaMa" or the first time he actually gave me a kiss.  Honestly my heart melts when I see him sleeping or when I see the wonder in his eyes when he sees something new. His laugh makes me smile from ear to ear and his eyes just sparkle.  I'm not a proud mom at all am I......lol!  I really enjoy every part of being a Mom.  I love watching him learn and hearing him say new words and do new things.  It's the greatest thing in the world!!!!!!!

  14. As soon I read your question, an old picture I have came to my mind. This is me & my oldest son Tyler when he was a little over a year

    http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=rclh7n&s...

Riley's first word was "mama" so that's my aww moment with him. He started saying it about 2-3 weeks ago. Tyler's was "dada" so it made me happy that Riley said "mama" as his first words.

EDIT: I'd also like to add that when i still want to sleep (in the morning) & Riley's up; I'm a little grumpy. I walk over to his crib, he stops his whining and starts smiling & giggling...it's so hard to be grumpy when I see that smile!!

  15. Oh I have had so many of those

but the other day i walk into the nursery and my husband is sitting on the floor blowing raspberries on my three month old twins tummies.

He didnt know I was there, so I watched for a while..

    It was SOOOO cute

  16. Our 17 month old daughter has started coming up to my husband and I and lifting up our shirts to bare our bellies.  She then leans in a gives us raspberries.  The first time she did it I burst out laughing, i was so surprised!!

  17. The first time he hugged me and said ''i love you'' at the same time. He's 2 1/2, Gabriel.

  18. My awww moment just happened tonight.  it was actually pretty funny.  My 10 1/2 month old daughter has been fighting off her sleep horribly since she learned to pull herself up on the bed.  So bedtime has become a challenge.  I lay her down and walk out of the room, look in th monitor and see that she is up and climbing her bed.  So I give her a few minutes, go back in, lay her down and say goodnight, check the video and she is up again.  After doing this a few times my last goodnight was a little more "serious" and i left checked the monitor and there she was again standing up... so i went back in she took one look at me and layed down and put her blanket over her head so that i would think she was sleeping.... lol!!  i laughed so hard, she is too cute and too smart for her own good.  Keep enjoying these moments!
