  1. Negative: The long term health effects are not known

What is known about health effects is mostly negative

Younger athletes would feel the need to use them in order to compete

Positive:  Millions of dollars are spent on enforcement and people still avoid being caught

False positive tests ruin an athletes reputation

Those who are creating the drugs always seem to be a step ahead of those trying to test for the drugs

  2. Negative: Will promote a fake sense of skill and perfomance into the sporting world, there may be more deaths by drugs, it will make drugs easier to get hold of, it will destroy any sport.

Positive: It could help set world records, add a higher level of acheivement into a sport, make sports more exciting.

    Hope this helps ;).

  3. here another positive. Absolutly because the media and allthe fans want and expect too much from these athletes. the media has ruined our society and way of living. besides you have too look out for #1 so you need to do what it takes to make that money even if it means taking performance enhancers.

  4. Negative - Enhance performance unfairly. Not a true test of the persons skills or abilties. Can be dangeous/deadly. Changes the bodies chemical balance. Cost lots. Promote bad health. In contact sports can result in more and more serious injuries.

Affirmative - Hopefully someone can help you with this side.

  5. I'll concentrate on the positive.  Use automobile racing as an analogy, particularly drag racing.  Just divide the competitors into categories, ranging from showroom stock (no mods or drugs) to top fuel eliminator (anything goes).

Since you are in school, you might want to practice the spelling of legalize.

  6. umm no.

    :)
