Thats Forbidden to sweep the Getting Out A1 525 at Shelbourne Park
The Grade A1 Getting Out A1 525 will be hosted by Shelbourne Park over 525 yards on Wednesday, 6th June. Competing for the €400 prize money are Thats Forbidden, Some Touch, Duke Box Melody, Rockburst Saint, Highview Molly and Paradise Tequila.
Leading with the highest chances of claiming the race is Thats Forbidden, Crash’s two-year-old black dog out of b***h, Great Plan. The current season marks his debut season at racing.
The two-year-old proved his ability right on from the very first chance that was presented to him. He won a 525 yards race on 16th April by completing the trip in 29.46 seconds. He led the runner up of the race, Hurling Hawk, by two lengths.
He dictated the terms for his very next race too on 23rd April. It took him 29.40 seconds to settle the 525 yards race and he led the runner up of the race, Newyork Minuet, by four and a half lengths.
The prospects of striking a hat trick through the first three career starts faded when Thats Forbidden qualified as the runner up in the very next race. On 30th April, Ballycowen Mist won a 525 yards race in 29.57 seconds and led Thats Forbidden by a short head’s difference.
His fourth career try was a miserable failure but the two-year-old did make an effort for getting back in from as he paired up two third positions through the two most recent races.
He finished right behind the runner up in the Grade A3 525 Semi-Final on 23rd May at Shelbourne Park over 525 yards. The race was won by Cabra Fifi who took 28.99 seconds to take care of the distance and who soon followed by the 6/4 favourite runner up, Navarone.
He then met the same fate in the Grade A3 Shelbourne A3 525 Final on 30th May at Shelbourne Park over 525 yards. Navarone took 28.73 seconds to make it to the other end of the wire while finishing the closest was the 4/6 favourite of the race, Cabra Fifi.
There are others on the line-up who can pose threats but Thats Forbidden has already made an impact during the initial races of the season.
