Thaworn Wiratchant to play in Omega European Masters
Thaworn Wiratchant is hopeful for a great performance at the Omega European Masters.
The golfer form Thailand is going strong and his performance in both 2011 and 2012 is quite impressive. In 2011, he played in eight European Tour events and posted good results in most of them.
His best moment was at the start of the year when he played in Avantha Masters. He finished in the 11th place for a score of 8-under 280. This impressive performance was an excellent start and gave him enough confidence to finish the year in a
great form.
In November 2011, Thaworn played in another European Tour tournament, the Barclays Singapore Open.
He faced a number of top Asian and European golf players and posted an excellent finish, despite the tough competition. His final score was 206 points for which he was placed in the 19th place.
This performance was an indication of how he will fare in 2012. So far, he has lived up to the prediction and has performed well in many of the tournaments he entered in.
This year his best performance was in Ballantine's Championship. This event was held in April 2012. Thaworn appeared a bit hesitant in the first round and scored 73 points.
He recovered in the subsequent rounds and posted an excellent score in all three remaining rounds.
The final score was 6-under 282. He secured the 20th position after a tough fight. This performance was especially important after his below average performance in the Maybank Malaysian Open. This was an important event and Thaworn Wiratchant
was expected to perform well.
However, it was clear from the very first round that Thaworn will not finish the event. His 71 points in the first round was not the cause of alarm. The second round was where it happened. He scored 77 points and missed the cut.
This year, Thaworn Wiratchant is well prepared for the Omega European Masters. His excellent performance in the 2009 edition was over-shadowed by the fact that he missed the cut in the next two editions. However, this year, he has the confidence of his previous
victories to back him up.
