Walcott got chance to play under the leadership of Thierry Henry and he sparkled well. In the season 2006-07, Walcott played 32 games in all the competitions for Arsenal and he scored one while assisting seven goals. Henry acted as a fatherly figure to
him and was always tipping the lad how to do well. Walcott confessed "He was always there for me if I wanted to talk to him. I was quite scared at first but as I got older and played with him a bit more he was fantastic. It was great being around him and learning
from the best.”
Thierry Henry is currently enjoying off-season time in London. He is mentoring Arsenal strikers. Walcott has expressed many times that he idolized the legendary Henry. It is perfect time for the youngster to master some tricks of the trade while Henry is
in London. Henry will be training for a month at the Emirates Stadium, before he leaves back for his current club New York Red Bulls. In his era with Arsenal, Henry featured in 369 matches and scored 226 goals. Known for his unselfish nature, Henry produced
92 assists to other fellow gunners to score.
