The 150 line-up, the Q-school and the Final stage
The second stage of the qualifying school ended on the 21st of November that dispatched a number of golfers from New Zealand to the next and final stage of the PGA TOUR’s qualifying school.
The line-up consisting of Michael Hendry, Steven Alker, Tim Wilkinson and Danny Lee cleared the second stage of the Q-school, joining Josh Geary as well. Geary made it through to the second round directly to the concluding leg of the tournament after he ended up fourth on the Australasian Tour order of merit.
With Geary making it directly, Phil Tataurangi, Grant Waite and Brad Iles could do nothing more than applaud his efforts. Waite couldn’t make it to the final due to his early withdrawal while Tataurangi landed at a place far off the spot light.
According to recent reports, Waite had been unable to land a place which resulted in a withdrawal for him and the Kiwi golfer lost colour for the 65th place that made him turn back from the Bear Creek course near San Diego.
The final round of the Q-school will be played on the 1st of December and at the Orange County National in Florida and will continue till the 6th of the same month.

The final stage is scheduled to be 6 rounds and will be contested by a total of 150 players. Moving 25 places after the cut, the total 125 assembly that are marked as the PGA TOUR money list entrants of the year 2010 and the players standing from position number twenty six to forty that come from the second tier Nationwide Tour and other exemptions also charge in the 6 round contest.
Statistics state that those players who would range from twenty five to thirty would attain 2011 playing rights on the PGA TOUR. The next fifty players on the list make it to the nationwide tour.

Coming over to Michael Hendry, he finished pretty safe in the last round of the second stage held at the Bear Creek Golf Club in Murrieta. With Hendry grabbing the seventh place, his ending score amounted to a 284. The golfer who won the Asian Pacific tournaments carded a 4 under that made his transition fairly easy.
As for Danny Lee, he carded a 71 at the last round and landed at twelth place tied. The one under thus carded at Bar Creek placed him tied on the position before he decided to go down the kerb.

Wilkinson carded a 281 to place him on eighth place at Hombre Golf Club with a three under while Alker tied at ninth place at Bayonet Golf Club in California.
