Question:

The 20-year old virgin?

ok, so that's not a question, but my TRUE question is that, "Is it unusual to be a 20-year old virgin?"

I ask this because it just seems like MOST of my friends lost there's either last year or this year. I don't feel rushed or anything, I just feel that something like that you should wait for until you're with the right person, which I haven't met yet. You shouldn't waste it on just anybody, ya know? =\

What are your guys' opinions on this topic? =]

  1. I am virgin too! Welcome to the club, I am also in no rush to lose it either. Welcome to the club!

  2. Not unusual.

And it's not a bad thing.

It would be weird if you were a 30 year old virgin.

  3. I'm 22 and virgin ^ ^

Even though I have my boyfriend is my personal decision to maintain my virginity. I'm waiting till marriage. I am happy this way, unlike other 2o something people I don't have to worry about s*x problems and its pressures

  4. YES TAKE YOUR TIME, FIND THE RIGHT BLACK MAN.

AND MAKE SURE TO GET HIM TESTED FOR ANY STDS.

  5. Who cares that you're 20 and still a virgin.

I gave my virginity to someone I care about a month ago, and it was amazing..because it was with him, though it hurt like h**l LOL.

I'm 21 and I never planned to wait 'til marriage, just wait until I met someone I knew felt the same about me, I could see was real when he meant he enjoyed being with me.

Don't worry, lots of girls that are religious are virgins and guys like that and respect that, because they know you're not a hoe.

Don't worry...being a virgin is a very beautiful and rare thing now a days.

  6. For each person it's different, if you feel that you want to wait, then wait.

  7. It's a little older than the norm.  The majority of people lose their virginity some time in their teens. But it's not too uncommon for a 20 year old to be a virgin.  If you're waiting for the right person, that's fine.  It'll keep you from accidentally getting knocked up or contracting STD's like some of your peers.

  8. u go girl keep them legs closed until u meet a guy worth it!!!

  9. wots so unusual about holding out until you find the right person you wanna be with? ur exactly right

  10. Statistically, it's older than the norm, but statistics don't mean anything in this case.

You're doing it right - wait for the right guy and make it special.

  11. No, it's not unusual, but it's getting close.

The thing that stood out about your question is this concept of 'wasting' your virginity.  The way I see it, you are wasting the opportunity to enjoy life.

And, FYI, I've broken up with two girls who were over 18 and still virgins.  We were doing fine until they wanted to have s*x.  Knowing the percieved 'value' of virginity, I refused to be the first one to have s*x with them.  It's a turn-off...too much pressure.  I have no desire to be the standard by which every sexual experiance will be judged....and I'm pretty darn good at s*x, a very considerate partner and attentive to my lover's needs.  But...older virgins just creep me out...
