The letter clearly mentioned that besides having the strong terms with BCCI for the last 15 years, the group had never demanded tickets for any international event. This time as the family was already in London, the board was asked to organize the VVIP passes.
Sarkar further wrote that this incident cannot be linked with any communication lapse because the secretary was informed by the Sahara office ahead of the 1st Test and was reminded repeatedly through telephones and e-mails.
It is taken as an insult to the family, as not only the passes were unavailable but their phones were also unanswered although the secretary had promised to get back to them.
The media tried to reach the officials blamed for this attitude but they were unavailable to comment on the situation.
Sahara Group hopes that to compensate for the mistake, the BCCI would make some arrangements for the fifth and final day of the Lord’s test.
