The English started the 4th day of the 1st Test against India at Lord’s very confidently as they had a hefty lead of 193 runs; however, much to their surprise, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 struck back strongly, challenging the Poms’ stronghold over the clash.
The Indian fast bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/I-Sharma-c1566, brought India back in to the fight when he took two key English wickets in the same over.
At the first delivery of the 24th over, Dhoni took the catch of Pietersen on a beautiful delivery by Sharma, which sent the danger-man back after after he had faced only three balls.
This was a huge blow to the host team as Pietersen remained the highest scorer in the first innings and helped England overshadow Indian batsmen with his unbeaten double ton.
Pietersen had scored 202 runs off 326 deliveries with the help of 21 boundaries and one big hit out of the park.
Further damage was done just after five deliveries, when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/IR-Bell-c1597 was knocked out in the same manner. Dhoni was once again the poucher, with Ishant being the proud bowler.

Ian bell was expected to support the team after the fall of four key wickets, but the Indian attack did not let him stand at the crease. He had scored 45 runs in the first innings.  
Ishant Sharma is a promising young pacer from India. He failed to get any wicket in the first innings of the match while http://www.senore.com/Cricket/P-Kumar-c2143 took the spotlight with his 5 wickets in 40.3 overs.
In the second innings of the host team, Sharma took the early wickets, bringing India back in the game.
Sharma claimed three scalps, giving away just 15 runs. After Bell’s dismissal, English team was at 55 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
This historic Test match took an interesting turn due to India’s startling comeback.
