  1. They must not have had enough large enough stadia in France. Although France were never expected to have to play any matches outside france.

The only games to be played outside France are Wales and Scotland group games and 1 quarter final

  2. France hasn't got a stadium to match The Millenium Stadium.

Best rugby stadium in the world and the best view you will ever get in any stadium (Football) included.

  3. Because as part of France's bid to host the World Cup they got Wales and Scotland to back them by agreeing to hold some of their games in Wales and Scotland.

  4. G'day PAZ,

    Thank you for your question.

It was part of a deal when the cup was allocated to France to give some matches to Wales, Ireland and Scotland. Ireland pulled out due to problems with its home ground. It is traditional for some matches in World Cups hosted by Five Nations teams to be played outside the hosts. In 1991 and 1999, France hosted some matches as did other nations. New Zealand and Australia had similar arrangements in 1987 and were to have them in 2003 before problems arose with New Zealand.

France may have regretted the deal when they drew the All Blacks but they were magnificent and New Zealand performed their traditional World Cup choke. The less said about the Wallabies, the better.

    Regards

  5. just france's matches to make it fair

  6. Because Wales and Scotland decided not to join England in hosting the games, but join France in there traditional hatred of England and then when the IRB voted they did not like the English two tier game proposal where there could have been 2 tournaments of 50 teams playing allowing the minnows to actually compete.
