tonight i am going to dinner at the soon to be in laws house... i have dinner with them often, when my man has his kids.. they are usually over their on the days he has them, and on thursdays, i usually am invited to eat dinner with all of them.. but tonight, its just me, him, and the parents.. they are from italy, so they dont really celebrate the 4th the same way we do.. not really into fireworks and all that.. if the kids were here, it would be different, but they're not, so, even tho its a holiday, its just like any other day... anyway, i was th m m m

inking about brining something.. last time they had a bbq, i brought his fathers fav wine and i made dinner a few weeks ago and brought pretty flowers.. i was thinking of a nice dessert, nothing fancy, but simple and yummy.... like mini cheesecakes with cherries and blueberries, something kinda easy, but also, italian, and also 4th-like.. know what i mean... gotta make a good impression with these people.. lol.. any great ideas?

  1. I wish I got to u sooner. I hope u made something different rather then italian. I bet they would have love some ethnic food or something spicy.

Hope all went well with inlaws. =)

  2. The Betty Crocker website has some really nice (and not too difficult, if that matters) dessert ideas for the 4th of July.  I don't know their address, as I get their newsletter and click on a link, but you can easily find it through Google.  They do have some fun ideas with berriesand such.

  3. So what did you do?
